Meet Jace.
Hey, I’m Jace.
I’m a big sports guy and will always say yes to an adventure. I love basketball, reffing, roping, jeeping, traveling, being outside, music, and trying new things. I’m happiest learning, doing, and spending time with people I care about.
My life experiences have shaped why I coach today.
Basketball
Wanting to reach my potential led to years of learning and training—and realizing how powerful our thoughts and emotions are in sports and life. I wasn’t physically athletic compared to the others, but my mindset and discipline made me excel.
My Mission
After graduating in 2020, I served an LDS mission in California and the Philippines. It taught me to adapt, pushed me outside my comfort zone, and deepened my love for people and service.
Mentoring
After coming home, I spent three years coaching missionaries through the MTC’s in-field mentoring program. Helping young people navigate change, pressure, goals, and life confirmed how much I love listening and helping people grow.
Business
While at BYU-I, I started a pest control company that I built and am now selling. Entrepreneurship taught me a lot, especially that growth requires action.
Marriage + Family
I got married in 2025, and marriage has taught me so much about empathy, communication, and relationships. My wife and I are both the oldest siblings, and I love helping our younger siblings navigate life. Now we’re preparing to welcome our first baby boy this December!
Why coaching?
I believe everyone can benefit from having someone in their corner. You don’t have to be struggling to want more clarity, understand yourself better, work through decisions, or become the person you want to be.
I’m still learning and growing, but I love helping others do the same by finding clarity and taking action.
That’s why I started Own Your Pace.
Official Qualifications
I’m a certified Emotional Health Coach through TURN Coaching & Consulting and a certified Freedom From Pornography (FFP) Advanced Practitioner, specializing in emotional intelligence, personal growth, and lasting behavioral change.
My training equips me to help individuals better understand and manage their thoughts and emotions, break unwanted patterns, and build the skills needed for meaningful, long-term change.
I trained directly under the creator of the Freedom From Pornography program, a professionally trained life coach, learning an established framework that has helped hundreds of individuals overcome pornography use by addressing underlying patterns rather than relying on temporary fixes. The program’s curriculum was also extensively reviewed and influenced by a medical doctor, incorporating valuable medical insight into its development.
After graduating at the top of my class, I was selected for an internship spanning both the Emotional Health Coaching and Freedom From Pornography programs. This opportunity was awarded in recognition of my strong understanding, practical application, and ability to effectively demonstrate the principles taught. As an intern, I helped train and support the next group of aspiring coaches, providing feedback and guidance as they developed their skills and worked toward certification.
Beyond my certifications, I bring over three years of experience mentoring young adults at the Missionary Training Center, conducting more than 1,000 mentoring sessions with missionaries from around the world. Working with individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, and life experiences strengthened my ability to connect with people, understand different perspectives, and provide personalized guidance.
I also bring two years of emotional health coaching and leadership experience serving in a bishopric. Having successfully built and sold a business, I understand firsthand the importance of navigating challenges, taking meaningful action, and pursuing personal growth.
My goal is to combine professional training with real-world experience to help individuals build confidence, take ownership of their lives, and create lasting change.
